Evaluation

I finally have completed my project on The Vaio. it has been great and I have had ups and downs. The ups are that I figured out how to make an animoto and voicethread which I can use for several other I.T or D.T projects next year. Aswell I have found out how to change the colour of my blog to fit my likings and to make it more presentable when I eventually presented my findings. The downs are that I was apsent on the previous I.T lesson when everyone was finishing the last of their projects, yet I had not completed my project and I had to work on it at home which took away my other homeowrk time for other work I had to complete in time. Overall I had not exactly reached the pottential that I wanted on this project yet I still had fun and completed it ontime eventhough it wasnt what I truely wanted in the end. During this project I had many problems with recording the voicethread prentation, becuase the microphones did not record and everthing I said went all fuzzy once I had recorded it. The tools that I used like the : microphone , computers , blogger , class wiki page, animoto and voicethread worked fairly well but I only had trouble uploding music for the animoto and recording my voice for the voicethread.

The project on persuading students at QA to use the vaio laptop, was fun but i fell behind when I couldn't record myself for the voice thread. I must say i am relieved that this project is completed because now i don't need to worry about it anymore.

slide 4: With the vaio you can use media of your choice with the advanced graphics engine,in school we can use this to create advanced imaging affects, like in I.T or D.T.

slide 5: Becuase of the vaios desgin it is light weight, and easy to carry around, it has high memory so you can store all your school work on it instead of carriing around a heavy school bag.

slide 6: Overall with the vaio we have the potential to make learing easier , more creative and more fun!!

Whats happening today...

Today, i am planing to finish my voice thread on the Vaio. Last class i was having difficulty recording my voice, it wasn't working. So hopefully this lesson i will successfully record my voice thread and publish it onto my blog and complete my project. I have officially completed my Animoto and i am trying to figure out how to put it on my blog.

Design

The Vaio can be used for multiple reasons and resources. I think that the Vaio can improve learning at Qatar Academy and the tasks it could be used for are ,firstly it would be much easier to instead of lugging around a heavy bag you could easily just carry around you're laptop with all work on and that's the only thing you need for a successful learning year. Secondly Vaio can be used for work, simply just take out the laptop every class and use it for for your typing and your class work. Thirdly typing out work works much more efficiently than writing out work with a pencil or pen. Number one because its much neater and number two because if there are any spelling errors then the Vaio could correct it straight away and avoid any mistakes that the typer has made. All students would need a vaio to do their own individual work during class . Only if they are doing group work then only 8 or 9 students would need a Vaio in a class of 20 or so. But if students have their own separate laptops then everyone could research separate information while another student is working on something else.

The new technology that i have chosen is the new laptop called a vaio..this can be used for communication and creativity. For communication you can use the vaio for email and other Internet resources that have communication access. For creativity the vaio can be used for games and surfing on the Internet for fun activities and extra things to do. The vaio is for sale echnology related store...like a gaming store, or a computer store that specifies in new technology, such as new laptops, games like a Nintendo DS or PSP.vaios can cost differently at different places..here in Qatar the vaio costs about 9,000 QR from any good computer store. models that are available in stores are in different colours and sizes. The Vaio laptop can be used for school ...just imagine instead of going to school with a pencil and a paper you could enjoy the luxury of having your own laptop to do work on. This is a wonderful help because it is potable and it can be used for multiple purposes. Youtube also has a video on new technology, which is the vaio.

how can i use igoogle to support learning at QA?

1. Studies: you can use diffrent resoreces that can help you when you are studing, for example: dictionary, thesorus or any resorce of information that can be used for learning or studing.

2. Homework: you can use igoogle for homework because you can access wikipedia or any information that you have added. This is much better to do because you dont need paper or a pen you just need an igoogle and your infromation is there right away.
